Hey there! This is the second part of a two-part guide on how to get the most out of the My Disney Experience mobile app during your Disney World vacation. Downloading the app is an absolutely essential first step in preparing for your next big Disney vacation. You can create and organize plans with your friends and family, view your Disney photos, find your way around the park, and much more. And, with Pixie Dust and your My Disney Experience account, you can schedule your Disney World plans in advance, before they are even available on the My Disney Experience app.
⬅ If you missed it, here's Part 1 where we discussed Genie+, Lightning Lanes, and Mobile Ordering!
Making dining reservations at Disney World can be a tricky process, but with a little planning and the My Disney Experience app, it can be a breeze! Here are some tips for making sure you get the most out of your dining reservations:
Make sure to have your travel dates and party size handy when you start searching for restaurants. The more flexible you are with your dates and party size, the easier it will be to find availability.
Not sure where you want to eat? Use the 'Browse by Location' feature on the app to see what restaurants are available in each park or resort area. You can also filter by type of cuisine, price range, or even special dietary needs.
Once you've found a restaurant that looks promising, check the availability for your travel dates. If there's nothing available online, don't despair! sometimes restaurants will release additional tables closer to your travel date, so keep checking back. You can also call Disney Dining directly at (407) 939-3463 to see if they can accommodate you.
When you finally find an open reservation that works for you, be sure to note down the confirmation number in case you need to cancel or change it later. And that's it! With a little patience and planning, you'll be enjoying a magical meal at Disney World in no time.
⭐️ Pixie Dust Tip: Currently, Disney restaurant locations can be made up to 60 days in advance. We're working on a feature that will allow you to schedule your Disney dining reservations whenever you plan your trip, with no restrictions. Stay tuned!

The My Disney Experience app is a handy tool to have while you're exploring the parks. You can use it to see wait times for rides, find character meet-and-greet locations, see what's happening on the stage shows, and more. But one of its most useful features is the ability to view maps of the parks.
With the map feature, you can zoom in and out to get a better look at your surroundings. You can also search for specific locations, such as restaurants, shops, and attractions. And if you need help getting around, you can use the GPS location feature to pinpoint your location on the map.
So whether you're trying to find the fastest way to your next ride, the nearest restroom, or just want a quick reference guide, be sure to take advantage of the maps feature on the My Disney Experience app!
In addition to Genie+, Lightning Lane, mobile dining, and PhotoPass, the My Disney Experience app has quite a few other features to make everyone's Disney World experience more enjoyable. Here are a few additional tips & tricks for getting the most out of the My Disney Experience App:
If you're trying to book a popular dining reservation but can't seem to get through, keep trying! Reservations are released in waves, so if you check back periodically you may have better luck.
Speaking of dining reservations, be sure to cancel any that you won't be able to use. You can do this easily through the app, and it frees up space for other people who may want to eat there.
Keep an eye on your personalized 'Tip Board' section of the app - this is where you can view & manage all of your upcoming plans in one place. The Disney Genie service will automatically suggest rides, shows, and experiences that you might love, personalized for your family. If you like any of the suggestions, you can add it as a plan to your day with one click.
If you have small children with you or need some extra help, be sure to take advantage of the 'Chat With Us' feature on the Menu screen of the app. This will allow you to chat directly with a Disney World cast member, who can help with reservations, accessibility, and an other question you might have.
We hope this guide has helped you understand how to use the My Disney Experience app and plan a magical trip!
